Our appraisers are appointed by the Swedish Chamber of Commerce. At an appraisal we evaluate existing jewelry, depending on your purpose with the evaluation we use two different types of values.
Replacement value is the value of an item on the todays market, if you should need to replace it with a resembling item, i.e. when your insurance company requires it.
Retail value, purchased at a certain time to procure a new similar item.
Second hand value, your item is equivalent to another similar item on the second hand market.
Estate distribution value, the amount you can expect to get if you choose to sell you item i.e. at divorce or inheritage settlements.
Appraisal of lost items, you may have been robbed or lost your jewelry in any other way. We can help you to evaluate your lost items on demand of your insurance company.
Basically, the value of your lost item is what it would cost to replace your item.
Retail value, purchased at a certain time to procure a new similar item.
Second hand value, your item is equivalent to another similar item on the second hand market.
To evaluate a lost item we base the judgment on the information the customer can provide, i.e. former jewelry appraisals, receipts, certificates or photographs where we easily can see the lost item.
The cost of these evaluations are settled with the insurance company.
